Together, the Collection Systems and Stormwater Committees of the Indiana Water Environment Association (IWEA) are hosting a joint conference scheduled for October 11, 2018 in Fishers, Indiana. The committees are soliciting abstracts for this inaugural joint specialty conference.
Those interested in presenting are invited to submit an abstract. This year’s conference will focus on innovative O&M solutions for stormwater and wastewater collection systems, as well as for meeting MS4 minimum control measures. These may include innovative projects that were designed with long-term O&M benefits in mind, everyday O&M practices that may be considered innovative ways of doing things to save time and money, or innovative ideas for implementing Rule 5 or Rule 13 requirements. Municipal Leaders, Designers, Contractors, Suppliers, and Operators are all encouraged to submit abstracts.
Abstracts will be reviewed by a subcommittee from which the top eight will be selected to present at the conference. Abstracts featuring operator involvement and content applicable to small and medium-sized communities are strongly encouraged. Abstracts should be no more than two pages.
Presentations will be approximately 25-30 minutes in length. A Q&A panel feedback and discussion session will conclude the specialty conference where presenters and attendees will be allowed to brainstorm ideas and ask questions.
TRAVEL AND LODGING: Please note that IWEA cannot reimburse travel or lodging expenses for speakers. However, we offer complimentary registration including lunch on the day of the presentation.
Abstracts must be received no later than July 31, 2018.
