PLEASE NOTE: A few scheduling changes have occurred that are different than in years past. Please refer to the conference schedule before submitting your registration to ensure that you’ll be in attendance for the activities you would like to participate in. New this year we will be hosting a free workshop on our workforce development efforts on Tuesday afternoon at no charge for those in town early. Our awards will be presented during our keynote session on Wednesday morning, during lunch on Thursday and during breakfast on Friday morning. There is no luncheon scheduled for Friday. Don’t miss this two-day session that will leave you well-prepared to ace the Indiana Department of Environmental Wastewater Operator exam. Topics to be covered include: Advanced Treatment, Activated Sludge, Clarifiers, Disinfection, Laboratory, Maintenance, Preliminary Treatment, Safety, Solids Handling, completing the MRO using the DMR, Math and the Operator’s Certification Manual. This course is a valuable tool for anyone in the wastewater field or anyone considering the wastewater field. Those attending the exam prep course will have access to the annual conference exhibit hall, networking receptions and Friday technical presentations in addition to the exam prep session.
The IWEA Pretreatment Committee along with CF Environmental of Fort Wayne and HACH has put together a one-day sampling workshop for this year’s IWEA Annual Conference being held August 21st at 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The objective of this course is to provide training in the basic of proper procedures, preparation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The day-long course will cover a wide range of topics like, safety, documentation, sample collection, containers, automated samplers, and identifying sampling locations just to name a few. Sampling done right ensures data quality and defensible data. The course will include breakfast on Wednesday, and lunch on Wednesday. You may add lunch on Thursday in the form below, as well as add-on Thursday and Friday sessions.
