The Collection Systems Committee of the Indiana Water Environment Association (IWEA) is soliciting abstracts for the annual specialty conference scheduled for October 12, 2017, in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Those interested in presenting a paper are invited to submit an abstract. This year’s conference format will have projects presented before a five-person judging panel representing Owners, Designers, Contractors, Suppliers, and Operators. The panel will use the following criteria to judge each project:
The complete judging criteria will accompany this request and should be used when preparing your abstract. Abstracts will be reviewed and prejudged by a panel from which the top ten will be selected to present at the conference. The winner will receive a plaque and, of course, bragging rights as being the Most Interesting Project in the World…That You’ll Probably Never See!
Any Collection Systems Project will be eligible to be presented. There are no limitations regarding the date when the project was constructed, although those presenting must have had some personal involvement in the project. Abstracts should be no more than two pages in length and should address the judging criteria.
Presentations will be 25 minutes in length with 5 minutes for questions. Please be prepared to cover the time requirement if your project is selected for presentation.
TRAVEL AND LODGING: Please note that IWEA does not reimburse travel or lodging expenses for speakers. However, we offer complimentary registration including lunch on the day of the presentation.
Abstracts must be received no later than July 7, 2017.
