Previously taught by Barb Smith\, IWEA is thrilled to partner with Wastewater 101 to bring this crash course to registrants at the 2025 IWEA Annual Conference. \nTopics to be covered include: Advanced Treatment\, Activated Sludge\, Clarifiers\, Disinfection\, Laboratory\, Maintenance\, Preliminary Treatment\, Safety\, Solids Handling\, completing the MRO using the DMR\, Math and the Operator’s Certification Manual. This course is a valuable tool for anyone in the wastewater field or anyone considering the wastewater field. \nThose attending the exam prep course will have access to the annual conference exhibit hall\, networking receptions and Friday technical presentations in addition to the exam prep session. \n  \nARRIVAL:\nClass starts promptly at 8:00 AM. You will be in Room 123. When you arrive at the Indiana Convention Center\, head towards Exhibit Hall B. You will find the registration desk in the hallway in front of exhibit hall. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Industrial Operators Association. \nBill has been involved in the development and teaching of the Registered Pretreatment Coordinator and Certified Pretreatment Coordinator courses.  He studied at Tri State University and Trine University graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and he holds certifications as Class D and IV Wastewater Operator and Class DSL and WT3 Water Operator. \nHe is employed by Aqua Indiana\, most recently serving as their Laboratory Supervisor\, previously held positions in Environmental Compliance and operations for the last 15 years.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Industrial Operators Association. \nBill has been involved in the development and teaching of the Registered Pretreatment Coordinator and Certified Pretreatment Coordinator courses.  He studied at Tri State University and Trine University graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and he holds certifications as Class D and IV Wastewater Operator and Class DSL and WT3 Water Operator. \nHe is employed by Aqua Indiana\, most recently serving as their Laboratory Supervisor\, previously held positions in Environmental Compliance and operations for the last 15 years.

DESCRIPTION:The Core Conference will be hosted by the IWEA Laboratory\, Operations & Maintenance\, and Residuals & Resource Recovery Committees on March 9th at Merrell Bros. in Kokomo\, Indiana. Forum topics will provide a discussion on the core aspects of wastewater treatment: research\, new technologies\, operational and/or maintenance case studies\, residuals management\, resource recovery\, laboratory\, safety\, and workforce development. \nRegistration is Closed. \n \n  \nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMPK1CS_lLs \n  \n**To receive a full refund for an IWEA event\, the cancellation request must be received at least one week in advance of the event. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than a week prior to the start of an event. Cancellations must be sent via email to staff@indianawea.org.
