Southern Indiana Operators Association

The SIOA is dedicated to preserving and protecting our most precious of resources, water, for our communities., our environment and our future. We strive to provide professional and educational opportunities to our members as we strive to serve, educate and reach out to our communities.

Established in 1972 as an organization, the SIOA has been serving the needs of wastewater professionals ever since. SIOA became Incorporated as a non-profit in 2016. Our members are not only operators, but engineers, scientists, laboratory personnel, supervisors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, governmental representatives and citizens throughout Southern Indiana. We offer an excellent network for you to meet with other professionals in the wastewater industry to exchange and discuss new ideas, technologies, developments, techniques and rules and regulations.

The SIOA meets once a month at various member cities and towns. By becoming a member, you will receive a reduced rate for registrations to our meetings/seminars. We incorporate a tour of that hosts wastewater facilities each month. After the tours, we meet for lunch, business meeting and have a a presentation pertaining to the wastewater field at a conference room, restaurant, or even at the wastewater facilities. You have the opportunity of earning 2 contact hours at each meeting. The SIOA belongs to every member, but we cannot continue to improve without your involvement. Please consider becoming active in your association. Join a committee: awards, special events, planning. Volunteer to run for an office!
Active Membership Anyone working for or retired from operation or management within the wastewater treatment field, either public, private or industrial.

Cost for Active Membership is $10 per calendar year – ( Jan-Dec)

Associate Membership: Manufacturers, suppliers, engineers, consultants and other interested parties are welcome to join us as as associate member.

Cost for Associate Membership is $20 per calendar year – (Jan-Dec)
