Editorial, Public Communication & Outreach

The Editorial, Public Communication & Outreach (EPCO) Committee has two major responsibilities:

  • The Public Communication & Outreach portion of EPCO is focused on educating students, teachers, and the public on the importance of maintaining and improving our water environment. The committee strives to achieve this goal through recommending, developing, and assisting community groups in conducting public education programs, being a source of information for the WEF Junior Stockholm Award, and improving relationships with like-industry associations. The committee develops and coordinates activities with other association and federation committees, as well as with organizations outside of the association to facilitate broader participation and cooperation on issues of common concern, and to mutually strengthen knowledge and understanding.
  • The Editorial Committee portion of EPCO reviews submitted articles for The Digester on a quarterly basis. The committee sets the standard, the theme, and holds all rights as to which articles are released in the magazine. IWEA offers a variety of ways to showcase the innovative products, cutting-edge research, and revolutionary technology that is shaping the wastewater industry. The IWEA EPCO Committee is interested in receiving professional articles to be considered for this quarterly magazine. If you would like to submit an article for consideration, please click the button below.

If you have any questions about the committee, would like to get involved, or would like to submit an article for consideration in The Digester, please contact the Editorial, Public Communication & Outreach Chair or Co-Chair. You may also reach out for general inquiries here.
