Operations & Maintenance

The purpose of the Operations and Maintenance Committee (O&M Committee) is to of assist in the training of treatment plant personnel, with a focus on the individual. Our membership is comprised of various industry professionals including plant superintendents, operators, engineers, and equipment manufacturer representatives. Members meet periodically to stay current on operating and maintenance methods, procedures and technology, and to determine ways to enhance educational opportunities and knowledge sharing among all IWEA membership on the topics of treatment plant O&M.

The committee assists in the planning of the CORE Conference, the IWEA Annual Conference, and the Wastewater Challenge. For the annual WW Challenge, the Committee arranges the operator competition events and awards. Throughout the year, the Committee provides members with opportunities for CEUs, Facility Tours, and Networking Events. If not yet a member, please attend as a guest and check out what the O&M Committee has to offer.
