This manual is being distributed as a guidance document for wastewater laboratory personnel. It contains quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) information, detailed methods for the basic parameters that are reportable with a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit (NPDES), and an appendix of other relevant information. The manual is a tool that lab personnel can utilize to generate quality data.
The Laboratory Excellence Award is an award given by IWEA to outstanding wastewater labs. The committee evaluates participating labs for the Laboratory Excellence Program. To receive an excellence award, the laboratory must score 85% or higher in each category as well as an overall score of 90% or higher. Laboratory members serve as auditors for these inspections.
Currently, the Laboratory Committee meets the first Wednesday of every month at 10:30 AM EST.
The laboratory committee is excited to announce we will be hosting Wastewater Laboratory Analyst Certification Exams beginning 2021. Be on the lookout for new information coming soon.
